Cement Vase

I feel extremely joyful when I create things on my own. This time I wanted to experiment with cement. I created a vase with it using an old plastic bottle. Though I did go wrong at places, the end result came out beautifully. Here is a DIY explaining my process, and the places where I went wrong.

Shibori Bleach Dying

Not always do you need dyes and other hard to find products to change the look of your old T-Shirt. Many a times you can also do it with very simple products found at home. I tried bleaching one of my old T-Shirts with regular fabric bleach and the results turned out lovely! Here is a DIY showing my process.

Experiments with silk

When I finally managed to get my hands on the all the equipment I was more than eager to give it a try. This DIY shows my journey as I made my first silk scarfs using acid dyes and water based gutta.

Tying a Bandhini

I recently tried an Indian technique of tie and dye called “Bandhini”, which means “to tie” in Sanskrit. It involves tying the fabric with a thread tightly then dying it, leaving the tied portion without colour. I am sharing here some photos of the process as I did this art!
